The Vision Revolution in journals, on Psychology Today site

June 3rd, 2010

In addition to a regular blog column on Scientificblogging.com, Mark Changizi, author of The Vision Revolution, will be writing regular blog posts for Psychology Today’s Web site (3.2 million page views/month). His first column can be found here: http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/nature-brain-and-culture

The Vision Revolution was positively reviewed in the June 2010 issue of The Quarterly Review of Biology (circ. 3,000), the premier review journal in biology since 1926. The reviewer says “the book contributes an interesting set of new ideas that are explained in a way that should engage a wide range of readers.”

The book was also positively reviewed in The Psychologist (circ. 47,000), the official monthly publication of The British Psychological Society. The reviewer says, “The Vision Revolution is essential science writing, not because the ideas are definitely correct, but because the book can give the ordinary reader an glimpse of how science can work. Changizi is unusual in the range and quality of his ideas, and the clarity and humour with which he can lay them out; but the real value of this book is in the excitement of the scientific process that it conveys.”

In addition, The Vision Revolution and Mark Changizi were featured in Professional Lighting Plus: http://www.changizi.com/prcolor_profLightingDesign.pdf. Professional Lighting Design is an international journal that deals exclusively with the professional lighting design, unique.

Changizi was also interviewed on Neuronarrative, the site of science writer David DiSalvo: http://neuronarrative.wordpress.com/2010/05/05/everything-we-knew-about-human-vision-is-wrong-author-mark-changizi-tells-us-why/
